Journal History

 

The TRANSPORT has been published since 1986.

From 1986 to 1991, the Journal was published under the title Proceedings of the Higher Schools in Lithuania: Автомобильный транспорт / Automobilių transportas [Automobile Transport] (ISSN 0136-1589). All publications were prepared in Russian, including summaries in Lithuanian and English. The periodicity of the Journal was one volume (issue) per year.

From 1992 to 1994, the Journal Автомобильный транспорт / Automobilių transportas [Automobile Transport] was released under a new title Proceedings of Vilnius Technical University: Transportas / Transport Engineering (ISSN 1392-1533). The papers were presented in Lithuanian, English and Russian. The periodicity of the Journal was one volume (issue) per year.

From 1995 to 2001, the Journal Transportas / Transport Engineering changed the title to Research Journal of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Lithuanian Academy of Sciences: Transportas / Transport Engineering / Транспорт (ISSN 1392-1533). The papers were published in Lithuanian, English and Russian. The periodicity of the Journal was one volume (two issues) per year from 1995 to 1997 and one volume (six issues) per year from 1998 to 2001.

From 2002, the Journal Transportas / Transport Engineering / Транспорт was renamed to TRANSPORT (ISSN 1648-4142 / eISSN 1648-3480) and papers were presented in the English language only. The periodicity of the Journal made one volume (six issues) per year from 2002 to 2005 and one volume (four issues) per year from 2006.

From 2011 to 2017, the Journal TRANSPORT was published by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in partnership with Taylor & Francis.

From 2018, the Journal TRANSPORT has been published by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and, during the year, the periodicity of the Journal was one volume (five issues) per year.

From 2019 to 2022, the periodicity of the Journal is one volume (six issues) per year.

From 2023, the periodicity of the Journal is one volume (four issues) per year.
