Call for Papers
Modern Multiple Criteria Decision Making Methods in Property Management

International Journal of Strategic Property Management (IJSPM) (SSCI, IF=2.093) intends to promote researches and applications of modern multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods in property and real estate management. In the past several decades, a lot of decision-making methods have been proposed, such as the AHP, ANP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, COPRAS, UTA, MULTIMOORA, MACBETH, DEMATEL, PROMETHEE, ELECTRE, TODIM, etc. These classical decision-making methods have been extended into different context with uncertain information, such as interval numbers, triangular fuzzy numbers, D numbers, gray numbers, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, interval-valued fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy sets, linguistic terms, hesitant fuzzy linguistic terms, probabilistic linguistic term sets, and so on. In addition, new MCDM methods, such as the BWM, GLDS, DNMA, SWARA, WASPAS, ARAS, and the variations of these methods have been constantly proposed by scholars. These MCDM methods are useful in promoting property and real estate management.

The study on the applications of modern MCDM methods to property and real estate management has become promising in the past several years. This call for papers is for the up-to-date modeling, analysis, computation and synthesis algorithms and approaches concerning the modern MCDM methods in property research. Any theoretical and empirical work regarding modern MCDM techniques and their applications to property and real estate management, such as asset and facility management, sustainability in facility management, lease management, property risk management, property value enhancement, and property finance, is welcome. We invite researchers and experts worldwide to submit high-quality original research papers and critical survey articles on the following potential topics and their applications, but are not limited to:

  • Modern MCDM methods in asset and facilities management
  • Modern MCDM methods in property risk management
  • Modern MCDM methods in property value enhancement
  • Modern MCDM methods in property finance
  • Modern MCDM methods in property appraisal
  • Modern MCDM methods in sustainable real estate management and development

Each paper is desk reviewed by the guest-editor/s and, if it is judged suitable for this publication, it is then sent to two independent referees for double blind peer review. All papers will be subject to the journal’s usual reviewing procedure to ensure a high quality of the contributions.
